Screenwriter : Jenna Glatzer

So far,
Mad Cow Disease hasn't hit Jenna Glatzer.

. . .

What is your passion?

Combatting the dark, evil forces lurking in our world.
Distributing warm fuzzies. The theatre, for all that word encompasses.

What is your pride?

The day my former writing professor told me that my writing humbled him.

What is your greatest fear?

Mad Cow Disease. Also, dying of Mad Cow Disease
the day before my giant movie premiere.

What does adversity do to you?

Makes me quiver like a pile of unidentified quivering goo.

What is your best quality?

I'm really nice.

What is your worst quality?

Very low aptitude for spatial dimensional relationships.
Can't navigate my way out of my driveway.

What irksome habits do you have?

I carry around a 2-liter bottle of ginger ale
and drink from the bottle. Grrr.

If you could have your time again, what would you do that is different?

Start playing the guitar much earlier.
Pick a different prom dress.

How important is goal setting to you?

Pretty darn important.

What goals do you have?

Get married.
Learn to like vegetables. Correct all of the improper grammar on
all of the billboards on Long Island.

What is your ultimate goal?

To meet everyone in the universe.
Not dying until I am good and ready to do so.

What heroes do you have?

I used to really dig Bette Midler. Then I met her.
I don't really dig her anymore. I think Garth Brooks is the perfect model
of a celebrity. I also like God, my brother,
and the inventor of ginger ale.

What inspires you in others?

Happiness.

What inspires you in yourself?

Capacity for love.

What will be written on your headstone?

"Jenna was real nice." Then, in my honor, someone will cross out "real"
in permanent marker and write "really."

What does success mean to you?

It means I will have wrinkles around my mouth from smiling so much.

How do you measure success?

With a Grin-O-Meter.

What are your pet hates?

People who play with their tongue rings while I'm talking.
When I say, "No ice, please," and I get a drink filled with ice.
Those deviant people with "outie" bellybuttons.

What are your pet loves?

A capella music, good huggers, Boston, faeries.

What do you think of pets?

My kitten, "Kira," is by far the coolest
of all pets in all the land.

When are you happiest?

On road trips.

When are you hardest to please?

In restaurants.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

When my boyfriend's dog shredded my (used) Maxi Pad
all over the stairwell of his family's house.

What's the most exhilarating thing you have done?

Directed "Starmites" at Boston University.

What is it about screen writing that gets your fired up?

I tell a lot of lies. People say, "Wow. These are good lies."

What screenplays have you written?

"The Miracle Boy" (drama,)
"The Milk Carton Mission" (family comedy,)
"Seeing The Light" (MOW,)
"A Poet's Love" (screwball romantic comedy,)
"Written In The Stars" (romantic dramady)
"TwentyNothing" (dramady.)

What is your favorite pastime?

Opening acceptance letters.

What is your favorite motto?

Approximate quote from "Clerks":
"There's a lot of girls out there, but most of them won't bring you lasagna.
Most of them will just cheat on you."
