Daytime talk show host APRIL MAYNE
watches her ratings and Q approval drop. Against APRIL's wishes,
her producer hires marketing maven JOHN DESMOND
to revamp APRIL's outdated image.

Both are workaholics who resist the temptation to get involved.
When a "win a date with APRIL" contest is suggested,
matchmakers at APRIL's show and JOHN's agency
conspire to have JOHN win.

Meanwhile,
APRIL's ex, Super Bowl-winning quarterback "SUGAR" RAY STARK,
remains on the sidelines, alternately badmouthing APRIL in the press
while attempting to win her back.
