Modern day New Orleans. A young author and bookstore owner starts out writing a novel about ritualistic murders linked back to Voodoo customs. Soon, he will be fighting to save his very soul from an all too real Voodoo sect who seek revenge for an ancient wrong- doing. As the protagonist, Gabriel Knight, plunges deeper into the mystery that surrounds the Voodoo sect and the sinister past of his family name, he will find himself caught in the middle of a neo-Gothic supernatural nightmare with an ending uncomprehensible, even to Gabriel himself.
