James Dawkins,
pastor of a Harlem church, and widower,
leads a peaceful, contented life with his
15 year old daughter,
Clarise.
On a cold winter day
their lives are forever changed. Clarise is raped by a brutal rapist,
named Will Grant.
Detective John Grere
has to solve the case,
and in the process realizes there is not one, but two rapists
that terrorize the Harlem community.
Unable to identify Gant's
face in a lineup,
something in his voice triggers
Clarise to name him.
Tortured with guilt and
shame,
Clarise commits suicide. Grant is released from jail. Dawkins finds out.
Detective Grere still hunts for the culprits,
as Dawkins, following his own instinct,
seeks revenge.
