This is the story of three young boys in ancient Austria. The boys are young and happy and full of bliss. They lead simple, carefree lives and know little, if anything, of the world beyond their village.
They are surrounded by superstitious townsfolk and peasants, who keep to the "letter" of the church and Clergy.
Dark clouds begin to gather one winter, when the "Witch-Dread" reaches an all time high.
No one is safe from the threat of burnings and public scorn. Women and children suspected of witchcraft are stoned and burned in the market square with great frequency.
The tradition of casting out witches and the workers of Satan's evil goes unchallenged. Until one day, while at play in the woods, the three boys stumble into...
