A comic anthology
with five short stories about different people going through
the worst days of their lives.

After experienceing several continuous disasters
during the course of his day, Malcolm decides to seek refuge
inside a dreary used bookstore.

Inside the shop, Malcolm begins to tell the clerk of his troubles
and asks for a self help book. Instead the clerk pulls out a dusty old book
and begins to read Malcolm several selections.

The stories include:
an aspiring rock star's big night is ruined;
an immigrant bootlegger is harassed, jailed, and eventually deported;
a man and a woman unsuccessfully attempt to rob a bank; and
two struggling roommates run scams
to raise rent money.
