'Let's Talk'

Jami Stein,
sexually ambiguous host of an outrageous talk show called "Let's Talk!",
has hit upon a sure-fire way to beat out all the competition
in the ratings game: He (she?) actually allows guests
to "slip through security"
with weapons.

The first time was an accident
(resulting in the death of another guest in a homosexual triangle),
but his (her?) ratings went through the roof!

The show became an instant hit worldwide,
so this prompts Jami and the show's producers to allow these
security "slip-ups" to continue (thus protecting themselves legally,
due to the "incompetence" of their security personnel ...
which are constantly being replaced).

Things go sour when Jami becomes the potential victim
and tries to keep the "crazed fan/guest" from killing him (her?).
All the while, the ratings-starved producers
keep the cameras rolling!

Comments

This would be a perfect low-budget project
for a producer or company and has the makings of a box office hit or cult favorite.

Best summed up as "The Jerry Springer Show"
meets "Network". Screenwriters looking for collaboration,
