Dark Knight is the story to END ALL
Batman stories.

Set thirty years into the future,
the Batman has to come out of TEN YEARS of retirement
to fight an ever-increasing trend of violent crime
in Gotham City.

And to fight it,
he must resort to much more desperate measures,
especially since his fifty-five year old body
doesn't have what it takes
to fight the war
anymore.

But that's not the end of his troubles.

All of his old
arch-enemies are still around
(Two Face & The Joker) and they all want
a piece of him.

And to make matters worse,
times have changed since the Batman last fought crime
and, as the Dark Knight discovers, he is no longer welcome
anywhere anymore.

Finally,
as the spectacular climax draws near,
Batman will have to put his demons to rest,
ONCE AND FOR ALL, and also survive
as he becomes hunted down by the US Government
as well as by the one man he always trusted:
a certain Kryptonian hero by the name
of SUPERMAN.

ALL THIS
during the very real threat of
WORLD WAR III!!!

In the end,

again.
